Anisa has been wearing her hair in box braids for a few weeks now and I decided to share pictures of different styles that I have created.
Up first is this very pretty updo. For this style, I gathered her braids in the center of her head and braided them together into one large cornrow. Once I reached the top, I wrapped the remainder of the braid around in a swoop and secured the newly created bangs with hair pins.
The updo was followed by a style that Anisa helped to create. She told me what she wanted and I made it happen!
For this style, I removed her updo and created one large cornrow in a circular fashion around her head. The cornrow led into a high ponytail that was adorned with beautiful flower.
Now the name of this post is styling box braids for girls and boys so it's time to show Mr. King!!
For his style, I created several cornrows with his box braids.
He also sported this style for Easter without the rubberbands.
Finally, we have this lovely creation! For this style, I created several twists in the same way that you would created two-strand flat twists. I did add rubberbands at the nape, but this really was not necessary. The remainder of her hair was gathered in a low, side ponytail that was accessorized with another pretty flower.
