Quick Update: Mini Box Braids

Anisa has had her braids since Thanksgiving and they are holding up pretty well! I've been keeping them moisturized by using the products that we have at home from Carol's Daughter, Oyin Handmade, and Shea Moisture. She will keep her braids for at least a few more weeks and then I'll decide if I want to take them down or not. So far, I haven't done any styles with these braids. She usually wears them down, pinned back or in a high ponytail. Do you have any style suggestions for us to try??

  1. What about french braids for a day and the next day wear the braid out, to make her mini braids curly?

  7. WOW! Her hair is so long and very pretty. I think you are a brave woman to style you daughter's hair in mini braids. I would dread taking them out lol. You always do an excellent job with styling your baby's hair. I think flexi rod or straw curls would be so cute with her mini boxed braids. The curls will last for days without you even having to touch it. It would be a really pretty hairstyle for Christmas.
